Psychotherapist Position
Overview
Christian Psychological Services (CPS) is expanding its services in the Lawrence and surrounding areas. Therefore, CPS will be adding one full-time or two part-time psychotherapists to its professional clinical staff. The position will report to CPS’ Executive Director.

As Christians, we provide grace-filled professional services that nurture hope, restore health and foster reconciliation.
The clinical staff represents a variety of disciplines including psychology, counseling and social work. We are seasoned professionals who have experience in the fields of individual (children, adolescents, and adults), marital, family and group therapy for a wide variety of concerns presented to us by our clients. The clinical staff consults with primary care physicians or psychiatrists when necessary to facilitate care.
Clinical Responsibilities
For full-time psychotherapists, carries an average caseload that involves 25 client sessions per week averaging 45-60 minutes per session.
For part-time psychotherapists, carries an average caseload that involves 3 to 12 client sessions per week, averaging 45-60 minutes per session.
Responsible for building their own case load and for receiving clients placed by the center’s intake process.
Marketing one’s services to the public.
Motivated to learn how to appropriately integrate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process.
Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings.
Effectively collaborate with other clinical staff and support staff.
Income is based on revenues generated by the therapist.
Qualifications
Licensed or license-eligible in a Kansas BSRB profession (psychologist, MSW, LPC). Temporary Licensed Psychologists can be considered.
Must qualify to receive insurance payments for services rendered.
Strong interpersonal skills in working with clients and colleagues as well as with the general public.
Highly motivated to develop their own client caseload.

Executive Director Position
Overview
Christian Psychological Services (CPS) is seeking to fill the position of Executive Director who will oversee all administrative functions (35% of allocated time) as well as provide clinical services to clients (65% of allocated time). The position will report to the Board of Directors.

Administrative Supervisory Responsibilities
Serves as CPS’ primary spokesperson to the organization’s constituents, the media and the general public. Orchestrates the enhancement of CPS’s image by being active and visible in the community and by working with other professionals and/or organizations.
Oversees marketing and other communication efforts of the organization.
Adheres to state and federal mandates that apply to non-profits.
Recruits, hires, and supervises both administrative and clinical staff.
Signs agreements, notes and other instruments made and entered into and on behalf of the organization to include payroll, office rental agreements, purchasing of supplies and equipment and other capital expenses.
Directs the fiscal integrity of the organization to include but limited to the following:
Developing resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.
Preparing and adhering to Board approved annual budgets and quarterly financial statements.
Is motivated and skilled at appropriately integrating their Christian faith into the therapeutic process and in training staff to do so.
Administrative income is salary based.
Clinical Responsibilities
Carries an average active client case load of 20+ clients per week.
Conducts new client intake interviews and assigns to appropriate clinical staff.
Provides clinical supervision of clinical staff as needed.
Monitors clinical staff caseload to insure quality delivery of services.
Assess and evaluate insurance panels that best serve the organization and individual clinicians. Negotiate insurance reimbursement contracts in special cases.
Facilitate weekly staff meetings.
Manage CPS’s relationship with the Kansas BSRB.
Clinical income is based on revenues generated by the therapist.

 

Qualifications
Licensed or license-eligible in a Kansas BSRB profession (psychologist, MSW, LPC). Temporary Licensed Psychologists can be considered.
Preferred qualifications of 5+ years of clinical experience and 2+ years administrative/leadership experience.
Must qualify to receive insurance payments for services rendered.
Strong interpersonal skills in working with clients and colleagues as well as with the general public.
Highly motivated to develop their own client caseload.
